Stephony Robinson (alto)

Stephony Robinson began her musical training with her father, Robert Brown, who is also a member of the Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble. She spent many hours at country “singing schools” as a child. Conducted by her dad, her official training began at Freed Hardeman University, singing in the University chorus and taking private voice. Stephony also plays guitar and has performed in several traveling groups doing folk, rock and pop music. Stephony has continued to perform solo and with groups, including several ladies barbershop quartets and the praise team at her church. She has also performed in several theatrical productions, including Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and in the choruses of Carmen and Annie Get Your Gun. Stephony has also served as costume mistress for a number of high school productions at Harding Academy. A first year member of the Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble, Stephony has two sons, Nick and William. She is employed at May Medical Group as a family nurse practitioner.
