Bill Tanner (bass) Bill Tanner joined MVAE in 1995. Bill started his musical career at age 12 by joining the band at school. At 15, he joined the high school choir and went on to study at Lambuth College where he participated in band and choir. After leaving Lambuth in the early 1970’s, Bill went into rock & roll. On becoming a member of the Bartlett Methodist Church, Bill began working with the youth choir, and currently directs the youth band. He joined the chancel choir where he met a member of MVAE who talked him into auditioning for Tom Machen. Passing that audition was one of the great turning points of his life. “I have learned more my first year with Tom than I have during my entire life. I continue to learn from Tom and hope to be with MVAE for a long time.” |
